Our Doctors
Ben Sikkenga, OD
Dr. Ben Sikkenga graduated from the Michigan College of Optometry at Ferris State University in 2018 with distinction and was an award recipient of the GP Lens Institute Excellence in specialty lens fitting. He completed clinical rotations at the Detroit VA Medical Center, Cherry Health in Grand Rapids, and The University Eye Center at The Michigan College of Optometry in Big Rapids.
He is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Michigan Optometric Association and the West Michigan Optometric Association.
Dr. Ben enjoys spending time with his amazing wife, Courtney, their twin boys, Archer and Charles, and daughter, Clara. They enjoy the many community activities available in Newaygo County.
Dr. Ben also enjoys hunting, fishing, playing golf and hockey. He is honored to be in practice with such outstanding doctors who are also great people.
Hannah Totten, OD
Dr. Hannah is a proud graduate of The Michigan College of Optometry with High Distinction and Honors. She is honored to have been born and raised along the beautiful shoreline of Lake Michigan. Prior to and during optometry school, she obtained a vast knowledge in eyecare working as an optician, scribe, and technician. She completed clinical rotations at the Wyoming VA Medical Center, North Coast Eyecare in Cleveland, Ohio, and Cherry Health in Grand Rapids.
Dr. Hannah is honored to be part of the West Michigan Optometric Association, Michigan Optometric Association in which she serves on their Third Party Committee for Medicaid and serves as a Legislative Keyperson, and the American Optometric Association. She was nominated for and received the “Young Optometrist of the Year” award from the Michigan Optometric Association in 2025. She was also chosen to represent Michigan in 2025 and was honored to complete the prestigious fellowship program for the American Optometric Association’s Leadership Institute in June 2025.
Dr. Hannah easily connects with patients of all ages with her gentle and friendly personality. She and her loving husband, Zach, have one amazing daughter, Maya. She and her family continue to enjoy the blessings of living along the lakeshore.
Dr. Hannah and her family enjoy skiing, boating, sailing, hiking, golfing, playing tennis or pickleball, and traveling- especially to National Parks.
Once you meet Dr. Hannah Totten, you will instantly feel calm with her warm and genuine personality.
Garrison Farr, OD
Dr. Garrison Farr received his doctorate from The Michigan College of Optometry in 2026, graduating with high distinction. He completed clinical rotations at The Michigan College of Optometry in Big Rapids, Pleasant Optics Group in Mount Pleasant, and the Wyoming VA in Grand Rapids.
Dr. Garrison Farr is a Muskegon native, and looks forward to continuing to serve the eyecare needs of his community.
In the summer, Dr. Garrison can be found on the golf course, at the beach, or around a campfire. During the winters he can be found on the ice playing hockey or sledding with friends. In his free time he likes to spend time with friends and family, or his Siamese cat, Gizmo.
Dr. Garrison is proud to practice alongside such skilled colleagues and to continue to serve this community.
